There is no doubt that Sony Xperia Z is one great handset. This is the reason that the handset is attracting lots of attention across the world and is selling very briskly not just in Japan, but throughout the world. The handset not just comes with the top specifications and features, it is also the first handset to be completely water resistant and you need not fear while taking it out in a rainy day.
Now there are reports that Google, the search engine king is all set to launch Sony XPeria Z’s Nexus edition too in the market. Though we have yet to hear it from horse’s mouth itself, but as Sony has made the claim we don’t really need any more proof about it. The company has also said that the search giant will price its Nexus version at very affordable price of $599. A CNET review is all praise for this little beauty from the land of the rising Sun. “Both outside and in, the Xperia X10 offers a bit more than many Android handsets do. Its large display is simply gorgeous, its multimedia capabilities are impressive, and the user interface is slick and easy to use”, says the reviewer in leading tech blog CNET.
This may be the best news for the Japanese smartphone manufacturers and its fan base. A recent report on Android Geeks suggests that the Japan tech firm has struck a deal with Google for surfacing a stock Android version for its Xperia Z. The still unconfirmed news can’t be overlooked at once, because Google has so far launched Nexus editions for Samsung and HTC’s Android flagship phones. If the rumor is accurate, we are to get a better interface on Xperia Z with far smoother and pure features of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Sony has teamed up with the search engine giant to develop the Google Edition of Xperia Z with LTE capability, the report says. “A Sony insider who wanted to remain anonymous has confirmed for us that the two companies will soon launch an Xperia Z Google Edition,” writes the site.
There are more reports doing the rounds in the tech world. Reports indicate that the search giant may select this superb FullHD phone to demo its rumored Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (Key Lime Pie) version. But, it is only a guess, which doesn’t make much sense as long as Google used to debut new versions to Android on a brand new Nexus device only. Well, whatever it be, a Sony Xperia Z Google Edition would be a great phone. More details about the arrival of the handset in Nexus forms are still not forthcoming. There are no clear clues available as to when the device would make its way to stores. It is likely that the handset would hit Play Store in July for a price of $599. It is when Google is to release Galaxy S4 Nexus and HTC One Nexus on Google Play for nearly the same price. If the rumor is true, the Xperia Z Nexus will indeed be keeping the same specs of its original. It will remain new only in software with the stock Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
