Skype 6.6 is now available for download for both Windows and Mac, bringing improvements for the video messaging option, plus a number of other fixes.
Microsoft used the occasion to reiterate that it’s improving its products based on customer feedback, so Skype 6.6 is specifically designed to address bugs found in the video messaging tool.
“When a contact is offline, the video call button will now display as greyed out rather than showing the video message button. The share menu includes the send video messaging option for both online and offline contacts. We also decided to remove the video message access point from the in call toolbar,” the Skype team said in a blog post.
