LG upcoming smartphone G3 Pictures Leaked

LG is expected to debut its highly-anticipated G3 smartphone next month. And while we've heard much about the handset's rumored 2560 x 1440 display, we've heard very little about the phone's design. But a series of leaked images might finally give us a clue as to how this handset will look.

The images, which appeared on a Korean forum, show a phone with a glossy, white polycarbonate back panel and super-thin bezel surrounding its display. As suspected, the G3 in the photos features LG’s now ubiquitous Rear Key combination volume rocker and power button.

Unlike the Rear Keys found on LG’s other smartphones, however, the G3’s Rear Key is flush with the handset’s rear panel. The phone also appears to use capacitive volume buttons rather than the physical ones used on the LG G2, G2 Pro and G Flex.

Above the Rear Key sits the G3’s camera, which is flanked by what appear to be the phone’s IR blaster and flash. Toward the bottom of the phone’s body is its rear speaker.

Inside, the G3 is expected to include either a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM or an octa-core LG Odin CPU with 3GB of RAM. The G3’s biggest draw, however, is its rumored 2560 x 1440 resolution display, which would be the sharpest screen ever to appear on a smartphone.

Little else is known about the G3, but we expect to get the whole story when it likely debuts at LG’s event on May 27 in New York. Stay tuned.
