Mozilla has given Firefox a major makeover, bringing a fresh design and several new features to the desktop version of its popular web browser. The organization claims that the new version of Firefox (version 29) is the most customizable version of the browser, ever. It features a new menu, customization mode and an enhanced Firefox Sync service powered by Firefox Accounts.

Mozilla has made major changes to the user interface of the browser and it now looks similar to Google Chrome with its redesigned tabs and a new hamburger menu icon at the top right corner that offers touch-friendly, controls for different settings. The focus is on the currently open tab to offer users an immersive browsing experience.

The menu now includes a 'Customize' tool that allows users to add or move any feature, service or add-on.

Firefox Sync gives users access to browsing history, saved passwords, bookmarks, open tabs and form data across their computers and Android devices. It is powered by Firefox Accounts, which as per Mozilla, simplifies the setup and device syncing process.

Firefox 29 also features a more simple bookmarking process for adding websites to bookmarks. It has also made bookmark management easier. The browser includes 1,300 changes.

The browser supports WebRTC, which enables video calls and file sharing between browsers, among other standards.
